What does the charity do?
The charity operates out of two different sites the community café and garden. The café provides food and warm hub support as well as community activities and events. The garden has green space and growing areas and hosts regular workshops and events. Both sites offer volunteering opportunities and there is also a regular programme of groups and activities for children and young people including during the school holidays.
What is the structure of the charity?
The charity has two trustees who have formal responsibility for the governance of the charity. There is also a community group made up of local people and charity volunteers who provide ideas and feedback from the local community as well as supporting charity events and activities. What is Cross Keys Homes Involvement with the charity?
The housing association Cross Keys Homes has been involved with the charity since its inception in 2017 when it was started as part of the Big Local lottery funding. Following the end of the funding Cross Keys Homes agreed to carry on supporting the charity so it could continue, employing directly all of the staff who work for the charity. Cross Keys Homes have representation as one of the two trustee posts.

How is the charity funded?
The charity relies on income from its operational activities and events as well as from external funding applications. All income received is put directly back into the charity and enables the charity to continue to operate and provide support to the community.
